Waiting for a Fish...

As I walked into Joe's room today to tuck him in for nap, I noticed something odd sitting against the side of his bed. I asked, "What is that?"... He held this up:

I asked the oh so obvious question, "Why do you have this in your room?" He, as matter of fact as possible, said, "I was waiting for a fish."

SERIOUSLY? ha ha ha

He had decided he wanted a fish, and he is now begging me that we keep this bag just like this until he's able to have one!... Oh that boy! :)

But, you're my girl...

Last night, as I was helping Matthew get his jammies on, he took a step forward and wiggled his nose on mine. He said, "I love you Mama, I'm going to marry you!" I said, "Dada already married me bud, you have to find a girl who is young and cute like you." He got a sad face and said, "But, you're my girl." Awww. I said, "One day, when you're older, you'll bring Mama a girl who steals your heart and you'll tell me she's your girl." He stood there lookin at me like I belonged in the looney bin. I said, "And then I'll cry." He smiled and said, "And then I'll do this" as he gave me a hug.  I pray his heart stays tender as he grows big, and I pray I absolutely love the girl who steals his heart one day! I gotta have someone to get pedicures with SOME DAY! ha ha ha

His mind is still so tiny...

Matthew is so smart, but there are moments when he reminds me how tiny he still is. This morning, reminded me with this:
"Mama, why does this live on your keys?"...as he pointed to my Ralph's Rewards.

Faith as a mustard seed...

My friend put some pictures of her sons on Facebook yesterday, in this amazing field. This morning, Matthew and I dropped Joe off at school and were off to meet a friend to walk. I gave us an extra 30 minutes so we could go check it out!  We have plans to meet up with my friend and her two boys tomorrow, so there should be more great shots then! ;)
He thanked God for all the pretty things He had made for us to enjoy! SO CUTE!

Green Smoothies...

Banana(1), Pear(1), Spinach (Frozen 1 Cup), Kale (Frozen 1/2 cup), Collard Greens (froz 1/2 Cup),Almonds (0.5oz)=YUM!
WOW... Who would have ever thought I would be LOVING a "Green Smoothy?" In my attempt to be healthier, I have been finding ways to add more vegetables and nutrient dense foods into my life and actually make it into my MOUTH! lol I absolutely LOVE these smoothies and I wanted to put them in my blog...because one day, 10 years down the road when I pick up my printed blog book, if I have forgotten about them... I need to remember! =) I have been mixing all sorts of different leafy greens with different types of fruit... Today was the first day with a pear... I think a prefer strawberries or pineapple to go with the banana!

How did you get to be so....

Matthew just CRACKED ME UP! I often say to my boys, "How did you get to be so handsome?"... Mostly because I love hearing their responses. This morning, Matthew walked up to me and gave me this "gaga" look of love. I said, "How did you get to be soooo"...and then he burped. I said, "RUUUUDE???" instead of handsome. We both laughed and he walked away. Then, he came back, rubbed my arm and said, "Now say the beautiful thing to me!" ha ha ha ha So funny!

Joe's Thoughtful Gift!

Joe just brought me this ring. He said, "Here Mama, you've earned this for being fun with me all these years." Awww. A few minutes later, he was eyeing the ring from across the table and said, "But, I might ask to play with it sometimes." ha ha ha My cute boy.

Adding Beauty to our lives...

I am enjoying some VERY pretty flowers from my Mother in Law, Lynne today. This picture doesn't even do justice to the beautiful vibrant colors. Thank You Lynne!

Crazy hair day at church. ;)

It was Crazy Hair Day at church on Sunday. Joe decided to take it a step further and made it "Crazy Shoe Day" also...by wearing two different shoes! Matthew was too little to take part in this last time, so he was SO HAPPY TO BE BLUE on Sunday!
